African Tectonic Plate
Zambia is surrounded by the African Tectonic Plate. In fact, It is one of the seven major plates in the world! The African Plate actually has two different boundaries, To the west, the African Plate has a divergent boundry. While to the north of the country, the plate has a convergent boundary.
Above, I have attached a tectonic map of eastern Zambia which shows many different terranes.
